MI6 have spotted James Bond 007 in his old favorite: the Aston Martin DB5. The classic car was first seen on screen in Goldfinger and Thunderball and most recently seen in Casino Royale when the current 007, Daniel Craig, won the keys to the prized motor from Dimitrios.
According to the website: “Shot at night, the scene is reminiscent of Goldfinger, with Bond driving the DB5 down narrow streets, zipping past warehouses and ducking under the arches of a railway line. For the 1964 film, the chase scene at Auric Enterprises was actually shot at Pinewood Studios. Filming will continue in Deptford and New Cross in London. In the movie, the DB5 action will feature in scene #134.”

That the good news but this will be off Duty car. But what about a car for his mission. I hope a new Aston Martin either V12 Zagato or V12 Virage.

I was driving through New Cross early on Saturday morning to view a Silver Birch DB5 being towed on a trailer. Unusual enough, but I got quite excited when I could see that the digits on the reg were BMT2**** leading me to speculate that it was a Bond car, probably on it’s way into London for a show. Then I saw this story and it all made sense. I would possibly expect the DB5 to get trashed in the film as one minute later a burnt out shell of a DB5 was being towed in a follow up car. Again this seemed unusual at the time but now makes sense.

I’m so excited of the DB5 returning to the big screen – in 2012! But can they use the DBS because Bond’s car (in 2006) was a DBS. Can the DB5 & DBS return?

WORLDWIDE EXCLUSIVE FOR BOND23.NET
The reason DB5 went up in flames is this:
Daniel Craig inadvertently used the “mobile phone” in the driver’s side door while Judy Dench was pouring petrol from a jerrycan into the DB5. They were waiting at the side of the road for the henchpersons in their Morris Monors to catch up to continue the chase
sequence.

Bond would look better on a bold platinum silver bugatti veyron car instead of an Aston Martin.
