I believe that Casino Royal and Quantum of Solace fell considerably short of expectations at the box office.
The remedies, if it is not broken don’t fix it, return to the extravagant settings, sardonic tongue in cheek humour, and glamorous heroes and heroines of the previous Bond films. The last two films simply did not shape up and were not as good as many merely average spy films.

Casino Royale was a fantastic move from the increasingly idiotic and Will Smith Independance day- esque Brosnan Bond films. On set problems seem to have hampered parts of QofS but it still has the right tone for what they should be looking for.
US Box office results:
CasRoy $167,365,000
Qof S $169,368,427
Most grossing Bond of all time….I think Mr Keating you miss underestimate the Bond watching public. They have brains. They want films with brains. Keep out the humour and the OTT action and get rid of the Shakey Action Cam which ruined parts of QofS. then SkyFall will bust the $170 Mill mark.
