According to the writer Roger Friedman over at Showbiz411, he has had an exclusive listen to part of Adele’s new title track for James Bond’s 23rd adventure: Skyfall.
Thanks to record industry sources, I got to hear a bit of the song. Readers of this column know we already broke the story of Adele singing the “Skyfall” theme a couple of times.
Part of the chorus of the song goes: “Let the sky fall/Let it crumble/We will stand tall/And face it all/together.”
The introductory lines, which follow a piano solo, are: “This is the end/Hold your breath and count to ten/Feel the Earth move and then/Hear my heart burst again.”
Some are reporting that the band Muse missed out on their chance to record a Bond theme with Skyfall, although what evidence they have to support the claim that they were ever in the running, we don’t know. However, they are comparing their new song, “Supremacy” to a Bond theme, with drummer Dom Howard saying:
‘It’s got a little whisper to the Bond vibe, it all goes a bit crazy Live And Let Die in the middle.
‘My view is they should use it for the next James Bond film, but I don’t know what’s going on with that. I heard Adele was doing it.’

British newcomer Ben Whishaw will be playing “Q” in Skyfall (also known for The Hour and the Hollow Crown). A new banner promoting the film is now available online and features Whishaw as the MI6 Quartermaster. It is the first time that Q Branch will feature in a Craig film. Thus far in his tenure, gadgets have been scarce.
Bloggers over at CommanderBond.net are speculating that Coke has used a small splice of Bond newcomer Thomas Newmans’ new Skyfall sountrack in their dutch promo material.

Heineken/Skyfall advertising debuted on the internet today with a first look at the “Crack the Case” campaign designed to engage Bond fans around the world. The Skyfall tie-in campaign is known to star Daniel Craig in a high-action commerical but also, today, we found out that French Bernice Marlohe who plays Severine in Skyfall, will be part of Heniken’s international branding for the next few months.

Earlier, photos of Daniel Craig as James Bond 007 and Javier Bardem as Silva on the fantastic ruined island set built in the back lot of Pinewood Studios hit the Internet. Here is another alternative shot of Craig on that impressive set.
The long-running rumor that UK singer Adele will be singing the title theme for Skyfall has been reengaged by The Sun.
According to the press, Adele made a “secret” visit to Abbey Road studios, where the soundtrack for Skyfall is being recorded.
