Bond Back in London for Foot-chase

James Bond 23 crew were back in London this week to shoot an action sequence in Whitehall and in Tower Hill.

The Skyfall team, including current James Bond star Daniel Craig were involved in shooting an intricate foot chase in the capital.

As a twitter pic from @007 revealed, this is sequence 131, that will take place after the underground station scenes filmed earlier in the production schedule.

It is mere scenes away from 134, a night shoot involving the Aston Martin DB5.

More London shooting is planned for February 4th, in and around Vauxhall bridge, near the official SIS building that has long doubled as MI6, Bond’s head office.

Bond back in London to shoot Land Rover action

Skyfall director, Sam Mendes, and his crew were back in London to shoot another sequence that shows Daniel Craig and co-stars onboard a Land Rover, driven by a stunt driver from the roof of the vehicle.

Some fans are predicting that, in a homage to Live And Let Die, Bond’s driver is assassinated and the car races out of control, thus explaining the need for the real driver to remain out of shot.

The scene, as a rogue clapperboard pic (one not released by @007 on twitter) reveals, is number thirty nine and so coincides with the action shot on the first day of principal photography, and comes shortly after the funeral sequence that was revealed in an earlier twitter photo.

The second unit are spending their time on a location night shoot amongst the neon highways of Shanghai.

MI6 reports that stunt drivers from Quantum of Solace have returned to their roles and are filming a high octane sequence in and around the elevated highways.

Daniel Craig is not expected to be joining the crew in Shanhai, having completed his sequences for this location on set at Pinewood.

James Bond in a Range Rover Evoque for Bond 23?

MSN Cars claims to have a tip off that brand new Range Rover Evoque was delivered to Pinewood Studios – where most of the internet now knows Bond 23 is in pre-production.

The sleek new all-roader is made by Land Rover, who declined to comment when quizzed by MSN.

This news aligns with the rumor we heard earlier in the month that the first location shoot for Bond 23 will involve a Jaguar and a Rover in a high octane scene. Both Range Rover and Jaguar are owned by Tata Motors.

Location shooting to begin in London on 7th November, suggest tabloids

According to a report in The Sun, 007 will be heading to Smithfield Market, in central London, to shoot some high-octane stunts. It is rumored that Daniel Craig himself will be required on the location.

The scene is said to involve the jumping from a moving Land Rover to a moving Jaguar. Both cars, are owned by the same parent company.

Thanks to Zac for the tip.

James Bond 23 train stunts approved by Indian authorities

The last piece in the ongoing puzzle that has been playing out in Indian newspapers this month appears to be complete. According to MI6 James Bond will be leaping from train to train in a daring stunt sequence.

In exchange for permission to shoot on Indian rails, Daniel Craig has been asked to be a ‘brand ambassador’ for the Indian train company.

MI6 also has spoilers about what other vehicles are expected to be involved in the chase.

“Whatever help is needed by them will be given,” Chandralekha Mukherjee, executive director, information and publicity, railway ministry, told reporters Thursday.

The train top stunt sequence is scheduled to be filmed in Goa, India, in February 2012. Other locations in the country will include Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad, and Mumbai.

Bond 23 stunt sequence said to be blocked by Indian bureaucracy

It has been widely reported that 007 is looking to visit India in the forthcoming James Bond 23. It also will not come as a surprise to readers that according to Indian sources the production team are planning an action packed train trip for Bond. Previously it was reported that the Konkan railway was set to be a key locale.

Whilst location rumors have been quite for some time now, there appears to be a flaw in the plan… the government are unwilling to allow filmmakers to close sections of the track for time needed to shoot an action sequence.

Pravesh Sahni who is said to be looking after EON Productions whilst they are in India told the newspapers:

Trains are the backbone of the film. We’ll pay for the shooting and also mention Indian Railways in the credit line. The shooting was supposed to happen in October-November. Now, we’ve postponed it to January-February. For the past three months, we’ve been trying to get things in order. The film has Daniel Craig doing stunts on a freight train. While the Indian Railways has given us permission to shoot, I need to meet someone and explain how important it is for us to block two tracks for eight hours a day over five to six days.

Previously Roger Moore’s Octopussy shot sequences in India and involved a protracted train sequence… deja vu anybody?

French Bond fans claim intel on Bond 23 Great Wall of China Motorbike chase

Over at the French James Bond fan club a source has let them in on a pre-production secret, or so it is claimed!

A scene originally in the slate for 1989′s Licence To Kill may be dug out of the archives and brought to celluloid for 007′s 23rd James Bond adventure. Instead of spending time in China Bond #16 ultimately went to Mexico for a fiery finalé.

The scene, a motorbike chase along the Great Wall is rumored to be on the agenda for James Bond in the forthcoming Bond 23. If this news is correct, this will add a third major location to the possible shooting countries, which already includes India and South Africa.

It will not be the first time 007 is in China: he previously served her Majesty on missions in Tomorrow Never Dies and The Man With The Golden Gun (Hong Kong)
