First photo evidence of Bond 23 gearing up at Pinewood

First reports of action at Pinewood Studios on James Bond 23 have emerged via the social media website, twitter.

For instance @D4vidElliott writes that:

Today i have been acting. Real acting!! For the new James Bond film at Pinewood Studios. I liked it and want to do more.

Along with his tweet, Elliot posted this picture:

Another rogue picture has surfaced from those behind the scenes… this one is self-explanatory!

Both photos come from extras on the sets of Bond 23. Bond23.net understands that photography has not commenced with any of the principal cast.

James Bond 23 press conference scheduled for November

According to the ever-reliable MI6, the Bond 23 production team have penciled in a press conference for the launch of principal photography on James Bond 23.

This also confirms the earlier suspicion that, despite media rumors to the contrary, 007 was not yet shooting at Pinewood Studios.

The event will mark the commencement of a 6-7 month shooting schedule, assuming the production team will be breaking for the Holiday season.

James Bond 23 to shoot scenes at Duntrune Castle, Scotland

As well as Istanbul and probably South Africa, James Bond will be en route to his native Scotland, where Sam Mendes has recently been spied location scouting.

According to a local newspaper, Duntrune Castle is on the shooting schedule for James Bond 23.

Duntrune Castle on Poltalloch Estate near Lochgilphead in mid-Argyll was host to Mendes and team, and 007 is expected to arrive in February 2012.

Is James Bond 23 entitled ‘Skyfall’?

MI6 has received a tip that a slew of domain names were registered by Sony Pictures recently, all of which involve a combination of the keywords, ‘skyfall’, ‘movie’, ‘jamesbond’.

As the Bond site reports:

The list of domains registered by Sony Pictures on 3rd October 2011 include: jamesbond-skyfall.com, jamesbond-skyfall.net, jamesbondskyfall.com, jamesbondskyfall.net, skyfall-film.net, skyfall-thefilm.com, skyfall-thefilm.net, skyfall-themovie.com, skyfall-themovie.net, skyfallfilm.net, skyfallmovie.net, skyfallthefilm.com, skyfallthefilm.net, skyfallthemovie.com and skyfallthemovie.com.

It was recently confirmed by Daniel Craig to a CNN reporter that Bond 23 indeed has a title, but he was not allowed to reveal it.

The British tabloid the Express has details on Bond star Daniel Craig’s routine for getting in shape to play the secret agent.

According to new wife Rachel Weisz “my boy is in a permanent sweat; his muscles are bulging.”

“Rachel has been put in charge of Dan’s diet, which consists of big portions of steak, salmon and industrial quantities of baked beans,” says a source.

Tom Ford designing for 007: Daniel Craig working closely with the tailor

In a series of promotional interviews for The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, 007 actor Daniel Craig spoke on and off about his forthcoming role in the still untitled James Bond 23.

One of the more interesting snippets of information comes from MI6, who reported yesterday that Tom Ford, who has tailored for the secret agent in the past, is back looking after Craig’s wardrobe… this time Craig is involved closely in the design process to create a “new look”.

Tom [Ford]‘s doing the suits. In fact, I’ve spent a long time with Tom getting a very different look and he’s been designing a new set of things [for the film].

It’s great that he’s doing it. It’s going to be a new kinda look. It’s a new feel. I’m very excited about that. I’m very excited about the suits.

Craig admitted also that he was not as attached as he was to the plush clothing he has the chance to don, explaining he wardrobe fills up fast when working on a Bond film, and would prefer to slouch in tees and jeans when not on 007 duty.

Bond 23 won’t shoot in India claim local reports

According to a local report, Bond 23 had permission to shoot their stunts in India as of two weeks ago, but last week, decided not to take the option up…

Chandralekha Mukherjee, executive director, information and publicity, Indian Railways gave the following statement to the media today:

The matter was finalised by September 13. But a week later, we were informed that after an international discussion, the production team decided not to shoot in India. We’ve been very cooperative with them. We had ourselves hoped that the movie would be shot here.

A stunt sequence was planned to the trains and a motorbike chase.

An unexpected turn of events in the pre-production schedule, which by all other accounts, is proceeding as normal with Bond star Daniel Craig starting work next week.

Daniel Craig to start work on Bond 23 next week, claim reports

Reporting from the premiere of George Cloony’s new film, The Ides of March, Showbiz 411 claims Craig is gearing up for the new James Bond film and will start work with director Sam Mendes next week. It was revealed recently that Mendes had blocked in a two week rehearsal period for Bond 23.

Craig told the reporter he starts work on 007 next week, and his schedule includes “a lot of working out”.

Showbiz quizzed Craig on the Adele theme song rumors that have been circulating, he claimed no knowledge of a deal between the film’s producers and the recording artist, but did not deny that the Brit singer was recording a demo.

Bond 23 earns permission to shoot in Istanbul

According to local reports from the Turkey’s largest city, 007 may be bound for Istanbul.

Turkish Culture Minister Ertuğrul Günay has granted the Sam Mendes-helmed 23rd James Bond adventure permission to shoot in the historic Sultanahmet Square.

Günay told the local presses:

Shooting will start within the next few months… rather than closing the square completely, some parts could be partially closed from time to time for the filming. We have to consider our tourists, but we can accommodate foreign film production companies that want to use Turkey as a platform.

So far it seems Daniel Craig’s third outing as Bond will have nods to Octopussy and now to From Russia With Love.

Shooting on James Bond 23 is expected to commence this November.

James Bond 23 train stunts approved by Indian authorities

The last piece in the ongoing puzzle that has been playing out in Indian newspapers this month appears to be complete. According to MI6 James Bond will be leaping from train to train in a daring stunt sequence.

In exchange for permission to shoot on Indian rails, Daniel Craig has been asked to be a ‘brand ambassador’ for the Indian train company.

MI6 also has spoilers about what other vehicles are expected to be involved in the chase.

“Whatever help is needed by them will be given,” Chandralekha Mukherjee, executive director, information and publicity, railway ministry, told reporters Thursday.

The train top stunt sequence is scheduled to be filmed in Goa, India, in February 2012. Other locations in the country will include Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad, and Mumbai.
